So much, so little.

Well there's few things left to sort now. Anyone who's heard about the tax disc mishap, i.e. it disappeared, will be glad to know that's dealt with as of today, I have some Euros and we now have 2 first aid kits.

I've also been sorting stickers, and we have sponsorship forms so anyone wishing to help out with proceeds going to Action Force Africa please get in touch.

There's news on the blog too though. There's an official blog for all teams to use which we may have to go for as all that's needed for this is sending texts.

So sorry for things being a bit quiet, but we'll be posting ore I hope!

UV protection worries over

Good news,

I was in tesco and the really good sun tan lotions were on offer what with the summer being over almost. So i bought myself some factor 20, perfect for croatia.

Almost time to rock.

We're nearly there

Car is now taxed thanks to Dee, we have a ferry booked from Rotterdam to Hull and a campsite sorted in Munich. Also oil and filter change has been done on the car to make sure its in top condition for the trip .

We have a route home!

Just quick for everyone, here's the route home:

Medulin (croatia) to Munich (Germany) and on to the Nurburgring (Germany) the next day for a few laps, and stopping overnight at each place. After that we head over to Rotterdam (Netherlands) for a look around and to catch the overnight ferry to Hull before arriving home the next day.

:-D

Things are moving along.

We have the car, and it works well. Given it a run to work and back and all went well. Hope that's a sign of things to come.

We also have the vignette, which you need to drive on Swiss motorways, which will save time at the border, and we pretty much know where we're getting all the equipment we need from.

And we now have the first info pack which tells us a few more details on the adventure. It's going to be so good!

And please join the Facebook group.

The story so far.

I got this phone call last Saturday night from Jules asking if I wanted to go to Croatia. This was the start of something big, as Jules, Kendrick and I met in the pub with others and started planning the trip. We decided on a car to go in and everything.

This all came crashing down though when it was discovered all the places had gone. Jules signed up for the waiting list and we thought that that was probably that.

Then his Email was replied to asking who wanted to go, and his reply with our name (including Clare, who now isn't coming) was followed up with the link to register! Then we were away, deposits being paid and team name chosen came later in the week and it was settled. We were going to embark on one of the craziest adventures known to man, the Student Brakeaway (SBA).

One week on from the day we didn't think we were going and we've got the car sorted, paid the full amounts and even booked our Swiss motorway toll sticker. We're pretty much sorted on a plan to get home too, including possible visits to Austria, Germany and Holland.

So watch this space!

What's all this then?

This is the official team Stelvio? Who's he? blog for all the preparation and for keeping all the folks at home updated while we're off gallivanting.
